#Haveyoudiscovered? ll Skincare and Foundation

This is my first official post in the haveyourdiscovered series and, since I started late, I thought I'd do a two in one post, as it'll be pretty short and sweet. There have been three categories so far, but as I don't use primer I'll be skipping it. So this post will be about a foundation and skincare product that I think deserves recognition. So i'll dive right in.

Smashbox - Liquid Halo HD Foundation.

First up is 'The Foundation', my holy grail. It's the liquid halo foundation from smashbox and I have it in the shade number two. Ever since I bought this, in january I think it was, I have been wearing it religiously. It is definitely my go to foundation as it gives a very natural looking finish. It's probably not everyones cup of tea as it doesn't give a lot of coverage. But if you're not looking for full coverage, I would definitely recommend this one as it is long lasting, makes your skin look flawless and smells good, hehe always a bonus.

Heaven Sent Is That Dove Scent

Dove Go Fresh Nourishment Body Lotion (Fresh cucumber&green tea scent)

♥ Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Lotion (Sheabutter&warm vanilla scent)

♥ Dove Body Milk Essential Nourishment (Not sure of the scent)

As you can see, I am a bit of a Dove hoarder, haha. I have been buying body lotion from Dove since forever and, even if I'm happy with one type, I tend to buy a different one every time just to test them. They definitely do the job and moisturise my skin. I have quite dry skin and all of these are really good. The one on the far right is specifically for dry skin but can be used on all types of skin, even sensitive skin. I definitely felt it moisturising and hydrating my skin, and it was very long lasting. However, what I didn't like about it, which bothered me a bit, was that I felt super sticky and it took a while to dry. The one on the left is for normal skin and the one in the middle is for all types of skin, though I think they both work just as well. All of them made my skin feel soft and moisturised and, on top of that, they smell amazing, which is one thing I take into consideration when choosing my body lotion.

Thought I'd give you a little spoiler on my next post, which I will be posting sometime this week. So the clue is: it's to do with food.

Hope you enjoyed reading :)

March Glossybox - Beauty in Bloom

So the theme for the months Glossybox is 'Beauty in Bloom' which goes very well with all the products as they smell very spring like. This is my third Glossybox and probably the best one so far. Don't get me wrong though I have been very happy with the other two. It's probably almost impossible for me not to like the products unless I got given blue eye shadow or fake eyelashes haha.  What made this months box extra special is that I got not only a newly launched product but also a product that had not yet been released. I was extremely excited to try all these products out and all in all was super pleased :) I've decided I will start rating my Glossybox out of ten. So I'd give this box a 8/10.

Models Own - Nail Polish (Org. Price 69kr)

Finally Models Own has collaborated with Glossybox Sweden. So when I found the nail polish hiding under all the coupons I was so happy :). I love the pastel green colour, it's very spring like and also fits well with the theme of this months box 'Beauty in Bloom'.

Fleur de Santé - Dermatific Eye Contour Cream (Org. Price 199kr)

An eye contour cream that is moisturising and enriched with Moringa Oil Bixa Orellana and Sorghum juice making the skin feel firmer, soothed and relaxed. Also, it's suitable for normal to dry skin.

Stylage - French Kiss Lip Balm (Org. Price 254kr)

This lip balm by Stylage is a new release! Glossybox really do know how to make us feel special! So this lip balm is supposed to heal any chapped skin and soften the lips. Since I have been using it I do see and feel a difference. My lips aren't as flaky and they feel nice and smooth. The good thing about this lip balm is you can put it over lipstick, as well as just applying it by itself. Smells like salted caramel mmmm.

Mitchell and Peach - Body Cream (Org. Price 390kr /180ml)

Glossybox has been giving us one 'Spoiler' each month and they're probably my least favourite product in the box because of the smell. A lot is down to the smell for me. Last months was a body shimmer and this month it's a body cream. But, because it has a lot of good ingredients like honey, organic coconut, vitamin B5 and shea butter, I will definitely continue using this product as it has made my skin really soft and nourished.

Panos Emporio - Deospray 'Goldflower' (Org. Price 149kr)

I had never heard of this brand till I got these products in my Glossybox. So, Panos Emporio is a Swedish brand and haven't yet released this deospray 'Goldflower' so all us Glossybox girls are the very first to try it out before it gets released. What an honour, hehe! I really love the smell it's very fruity and flowery with a hint of vanilla and coconut.

I also got a little tester of their perfume 'Coco Sun' which came in the form of a wipe. I really like the smell it also had a hint of coconut, vanilla and various citrusy fruits, however this one was more fresh and spring like. Definitely recommend both :)

Egyptian Magic - All Purpose Skin Cream (Org. Price 235kr/59ml)

A little extra something I got in my Glossybox was a sample of an all purpose skin cream. It heals and moisturises any part of your body from elbows to lips. It only has natural ingredients and is very good for dry skin. Definitely does the job. Such a shame it was only a tester.

My Current Favourites

The end of March is approaching, sort of, and I feel as though, the older one gets, the faster the months and years go by. But that just might be me. So without further ado, I thought I'd share my current favourites with you all, before I start finding new ones. As you can see from the photos, they aren't just beauty products but all my current favourite things, which will vary from food to holiday destinations. Now I haven't added a holiday destination as that was more of an example.

♥ Fazer Dark Chocolate
I absolutely love chocolate but if I had to choose one chocolate bar in the whole world it would have to be Fazers dark chocolate bar. Not Cadburys, Bourneville, Marabou or [Insert chocolate brand]. What I love about it is that it isn't too sweet nor too bitter and it also tastes just as good melted, because sometimes you can love it in bar form but when melted it can taste different. I would definitely recommend this chocolate and it's really cheap. Just bought two big blocks for 10kr, probably won't last that long though nomnomnom.

♥ NYPD Dana Bag
I did a post on this bag over a month ago, click on the link here to check it out, and since then I have been using this bag religiously. I always used to use handbags when going to school or to uni but sometimes, or probably most of the time, it gets quite tiring carrying a handbag as, of course, they are full to the brim with stuff and super heavy. This leads to the circulation in my arm being cut off slowly and painfully. Why do we girls put up with that pain? haha. So when I saw this back pack, it clicked I had to have it, it was fashionable and would go nicely with most of my outfits and very practical as it would be on my back and the weight would be spread evenly. I call that a win win for my arms and an extra accessory to add to my collection. Maybe not for my bank balance though..

♥ Garnier Intensive 7 Days Daily Body Lotion
I have been searching high and low for a good body lotion that will work for my dry skin, smell nice and that doesn't take forever to dry. I'd say that Garniers body lotion ticked all the boxes. I have both mango and shea butter and they smell heavenly. What I love best is that the lotion sinks straight into the skin and you are able to put on your clothes straight away without feeling sticky. The only thing that I didn't like was the intensive 7 days claim. It would definitely not last that long for me, maybe two days tops. It may last longer if you don't wash, but who wouldn't wash for seven days? Or if they did wash wouldn't it come off in the shower?

♥ Tigi Bedhead Shampoo
I fell in love with this shampoo when the hairdressers used it on me a long long time ago. It smells absolutely heavenly, a mix between chocolate and caramel sauce. I couldn't stop smelling my hair and the scent is long lasting. Since then I have repurchased this shampoo a couple times. The bottles are pretty big, 250-500ml, and I only used to use the shampoo on special occasions. But I have started to use it more frequently now. It makes my hair so nice and silky, and a plus is that it is sulphate free.

♥ Collistar Topgloss Stick - N. 3 Malva
I got this topgloss stick sometime last year it was a spontaneous purchase as it was on sale. Ever since I have been looking to purchase another, as I have almost worn it out, but it's now twice the price excluding postage. For those of you who don't know Collistar is an italian cosmetics brand by Antonio Marras. Surprisingly, I haven't seen anyone review or purchase from this brand ever.
I really love this topgloss stick it's basically a mix between lipstick and lipgloss. I got a plummy brownish colour which looks very natural on my lips I would say it's my kind of nude lippy because my lips are quite plummy brown. I will definitely have to re purchase this when mine is finished. I don't like the pink lid, it's quite big and bulky, but I love the gold casing it also smells really nice. Definitely want to try out their other lipsticks.

♥ AloeVera with Goji berries
Last but not least a drink that I swear by and have for the past month or so. There are quite a few different brands but have only seen this one in Sweden. They also have a few different flavours, plain aloe vera, aloe vera with kiwi and aloe vera with pomegranate. This one has aloe vera with goji berries and you can see the little bits floating around. At first I thought it tasted a bit odd but after a couple of sips I started to really like. It's definitely a healthier option besides water, but I would definitely choose this over some fizzy drinks.

So those were my current favourites. Hope you enjoyed reading :)

OOTD #2

It has been so sunny here in Stockholm this whole week, by far the sunniest in a long time. Hope you all have had as much luck as we have, with the weather here in Sweden. As it was so sunny outside, I wanted to spend as much time possible outside before it becomes cold again. Apparently it's supposed to snow, but I really hope not. Since it was such nice weather, I thought I would do an outfit of the day outside and also it has been quite a while since my last one. Sorry that i'm squinting in my photo, the sun was pretty blinding.

I didn't think it was warm enough to wear just a t-shirt and shorts or a skirt, but was able to start wearing my ballerina shoes and lighter clothing. Hopefully I can start rummaging for my spring/summer clothes soon :)

♥ Sweater - Gina Tricot
♥ Shirt - Ralph Lauren
♥ Trousers - H&M
♥ Shoes - Zara

Liebster Award

A couple of days ago I was nominated for a 'Liebster Award' by the lovely Rachel from Chicglam. I am really honoured that she would pick me. Really made me happy. Don't forget to check out her blog. Here is the link - Chicglam.

For those of you who don't know what a ‘Liebster Award’ is, it is an award to give recognition to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The word “Liebster” has German origins and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, and pleasant. By following some basic rules (answer 11 questions set by your nominee, write 11 additional facts about yourself, write 11 new questions of your own and pass the award onto 11 other bloggers to answer) it enables readers to get to know new bloggers and connect with a wider audience.

So here are the answers to the questions:

1. What is your favorite accessory?

My favourite accessory at the moment is a little owl that sits on my iphone button. So, instead of pushing that round button at the bottom of the screen, I have a black and gold looking owl.

2. Describe a typical day in your life

At the moment I am at uni, so normally I would get up at around 8am and get ready to catch the bus to uni. Have a couple of hours lectures then group meetings and after, depending on whether I'm tired or not I'll go to dance fitness or spinning. In the evenings I hang out and watch tv with friends or go out. I also make some time for shopping every now and then as well hehe.

3. What is your dream destination?

I don't have one specific destination. I would love to get the chance to travel the world see new places and experience different cultures. Maybe do an inter rail trip through Europe or roadtrip through all 50 states. Also to visit Australia and New Zealand is definitely high on my to do list. That is the dream :)

4. Do you have any pets?

At the moment I don’t have any pets. I used to have two budgies, two turtles and two bunnies when I was younger. My sister on the other hand got two zebra finches for Christmas which have now turned into 18 zebra finches haha. In the future I would love to get a dog.

5. What does fashion mean to you?

Fashion to me is a way to express yourself and make a statement, to stand out from the crowd. It can come in any colour, shape or size. It is really down to the person, everyone has a different style.

6. If you had to choose Makeup or Au Naturel, which would you choose and why?

Oooo this is a hard question. But I would probably choose makeup because it's loads of fun trying different make up products and looks where as going natural all the time would get boring for me. Don't get me wrong though I love going natural every now and then :)

7. Which 3 items would you have if you were in a deserted island?

If I were on a deserted Island I would take a dog to keep my company, an ipad to play games on and a hammock to sleep on.

8. Fashion Icon

I have a hard time deciding there are so many. If I was to narrow it down to my top 3 I would have to go with Jessica Alba, Nina Dobrev and Meghan Markle.

9. Favorite food?

My favourite food is Chinese without a doubt. I know that it’s pretty stereotypical since I'm from China. But then again the Chinese food that I eat isn't actually 'authentic' Chinese food.

10. Meaning behind your blogname?

I don't have a really deep meaning behind my blogname. I actually had a hard time coming up with a blogname as all of the ones I had thought of before I finally created my blog were taken. After a while I just thought that, since my twitter, pinterest and instagram have my first and middle name, I'll just use that. I also wanted to incorporate something lady like and didn't want to take too long on thinking so I took the first thing that came to my head and that was mademoiselle.

11. Favorite Actor/Actress

My favourite actress would have to be Emma Stone and my favourite actor Liam Neeson.

I nominate:

Glossybox February : Beauty is Passion

So, I get an email saying that my glossybox is on the way and that I should be receiving a txt shortly to go and pick up my glossybox. And, of course, the txt comes when I am standing at Stockholm station on my way back to uni. But, after an extra couple of days of waiting impatiently, I finally get to open up my February glossybox. So here it is, I hope you enjoy :)

Anatomicals - Puffy the eye bag slayer wake up under the eye patches  (Org price. 75kr)

The first thing that stood out to me was this very pink packaging. Now, I'm not a big fan of pink, but I was caught by the blinding colour and bold letters and thought I'd take a closer look. There are three sets of eye patches, that sort of look like compeed plasters but aren't haha, which are in the box, and what you do is put one under each eye for 30 minutes. This is to help moisturise under the eye where there is bagginess or dark rings around the eyes. I'm not 100% sure whether the patches actually did anything, but I'd like to think they did, as it felt really refreshing whilst on and I could really feel my eyes getting moisturised. Also, since my skin is quite dry most of the time, under my eyes is the only place at the moment that isn't dried out.

Hot Makeup - Nail Polish 'Passion'  (Org price. 49kr)

It's such a coincidence that this was in my glossybox as I have been wanting to buy orange nail polish  and lipstick, but been waiting to find the right colour orange and brand. So I'm really happy with the electric orange colour. It's exactly what i've been looking for! Now all i need is an orange lipstick.

Garnier Skin Naturals - Nordic moisture match, Oily/Combination Skin  (Org price. 75kr)

This is probably my favourite product in this months glossybox by far. As my skin is very temperamental, sometimes oily and sometimes really dry, this was the perfect skin moisturiser. I only use this for my face and I think it really helps. It makes my skin feel nice and soft and moisturises and evens out the tone of my skin. What I always check for in a product is that it smells good and this cream smells amazing. If I was to best describe the smell I'd say it smells like jasmine green tea and something sweet. Haha that probably wasn't very helpful.

Färg - Lip Gloss  (Org price. 99kr)

This is probably my least favourite product in this months glossybox. I'm not much of a lipgloss girl. I thought that the consistency was quite thick and sticky. It felt like my lips were heavier with the lipgloss on, sounds weird I know.

Nougat London - Sparkling Body Shimmer  (Org price. 249kr 250ml)

So this product was no surprise to me as there was a spoiler alert sent out and of course I had to look. The bottle is 100ml. It's supposed to have a cherry blossom scent, but I really don't think it smells of cherry blossoms, it's more like a sweet but manly smell. But that might just be me. Saying that the scent has actually grown on me. I think that it looks quite nice on the skin and gives it a soft shimmery look with an extra umph. Probably will use it during summer or maybe on nights out. I probably wouldn't repurchase this product, however I will definitely use it.

Läkerol - Raspberry Lemongrass (Org price. 10kr)

Lastly, I got an extra little thing which was a box with round chewy/hardish sweets. Now, it's always good when the sweets are colourful because then I think they are going to be nice and sweet, as opposed to black sweets which I think they're going to be really bitter and salty like liquorice. But when I saw lemongrass I thought what on earth. That's going to taste really weird. To my surprise they taste pretty good.
