Mini Beauty Haul

I went shopping yesterday in the final sales and thought I would share with you what I bought.

I bought two lipsticks from L'Oreal that were on 50% discount (more photos below), a Sally Hansen nail polish that was also 50% discount, a liquid eyeliner by Maybelline, spray cleaner for make-up brushes and lastly a soap and a body scrub from Lush.

It's the first time I've bought a nail polish from Sally Hansen and I have to say i'm pleasantly surprised. I would best describe the colour as Salmon pink. I love the shape of the brush as it makes it easier to get into the areas one usually misses, yet doesn't get messy.

This photo was taken without having to clean up around the nails.

I got a little santa body scrub that smells like Shea butter and Orange. It's got this sugar like substance that peels off the dead skin and then the Shea butter and Vitamin C hydrates and makes the skin soft so hopefully it'll do that. Haven't tried it yet but i'm loving the smell.

The blue square is a soap that has sea weed, lavender and salt in it. Its supposed to make your hands feel nice and soft and smells amazing, sort of like the ocean.

I almost forgot to mention the amazing frozen yoghurt I had at the shopping centre. Was so yummy! There were so many different flavour frozen yoghurts to choose from but I chose vanilla and chocolate.
And the toppings that I chose:

Strawberries
Pineapple
Raspberries
Orange
Coconut flakes
Nuts

My new found love

The other week I went into town and bought a few bits and bobs from Smashbox and I also got given a free Lancome gift set. So, I thought i'd write a short review about each product, as I was really happy with my purchases. I am by no means a make up expert, just thought I would share my views on these products.

Foundation - I thought I'd try out a new liquid base foundation and I got help from a very nice lady in the shop who helped me find the right colour for my skin. When I tried it on in the shop I was pleasantly surprised at how it gave such a natural look, which was what I was looking for. It covers up all blemishes really nicely and is also oil free.

Concealer - I really like this concealer. There have been so many different reviews saying it's too liquidy or it smears easily. Personally, I think it does a really good job in concealing any blotchy/darkness under my eyes, yet still gives a nice natural look.

Eyebrow Shadow - This is probably my favourite eyebrow product so far. You get two different shades of brown. In my case I use the lighter brown to fill in the beginning of the brow and then the darker brown to fill in where the eyebrows get thinner. I think it works really well and gives a very natural looking effect and isn't too heavy. It also comes with wax to keep your brows in place.

I've used all of these products in my previous photos if you want to see what they look like on me

Mascara - I really liked the gift set and i'm definitely going to be using the mascara a lot. I think it makes my lashes look a lot longer, however it doesn't make them as thick and volumized as I'd like.

Eyeliner - I don't really wear eye liner but I tried it out and I was impressed that it stayed on the whole day, as the eye liners I have tried on before have always faded.

Eye Serum - I also got a little bottle with 'youth activating eye serum' inside. I'm probably a little young for that, but I thought i'd try it out anyway. It felt really nice on the skin, but I didn't really see any change under my eyes. Apparently, it's supposed to reduce wrinkles and make you look fresh.

The perfect gift

A perfect gift for a friend, girlfriend or even yourself :)

For christmas my boyfriend got me this gorgeous ivory coloured jewellery box. I love that there's so much space to fit everything in, which also now gives me a reason to fill it up (hehe). It's also a lot easier to find the pair of earrings or bracelet I want to wear, unlike before when I had to scrounge around my drawers and make-up bag. It also comes with a little travel box and a jewellery roll.

Baby it's cold outside

Welcome to my blog.

This is my first post. I hope you enjoy :)

So it's finally cold enough to wear my faux fur headband that I got for christmas. I absolutely love it, it feels really soft, keeps my head warm and covers my ears nicely which is a shocker as most of the hats I have tend to ride up.

Also, I finally caved in and decided to go have a look around in the sales, although usually, I never seem to find anything that I absolutely love. I tend to buy unnecessary things I never use, or I'm just disappointed that I've been looking around for hours and haven't found anything.

Surprisingly, this time I actually found a really cute but sophisticated gray coat with poofy shoulder padding. I happened to see this coat before the sales and really liked it but it was a bit pricey then. But now, to my surprise, it was on sale and I knew it had to be mine.
