June Favourites ♥

This month has been so hectic with the end of exams, working and applying for jobs that blogging has been taking the backseat. Now that summer has officially started I will have more time to post and ramble hehe. Looking forward to July. Here's to hoping the weather will be better for photo taking. But today I thought I'd round off this month with none other than my June Favourites. Enjoy!

Eau de Lacoste - Lacoste Perfume - I have always been sceptical trying out new perfumes, I don't know why, I just am. But for my birthday I got a Lacoste perfume from my sister and I love it. It has a very florally scent and reminds me of the perfume Touch of Pink also by Lacoste.

Rooibos and Blueberry Tea - Tea Story - I am a tea lover and happened to rummage through the teas of the day pile at the tea counter. I found this tea and after smelling it I knew I had to buy it. It's somewhat sweeter than normal rooibos tea which I like, it means that I don't have to add any honey.

Electric Orange - Maybelline Color Sensational - This has been my staple lipstick for the past few months. I love the bright orange colour and pigmentation of this lipstick. It's also very moisturising to the lips.

The Righteous Butter Body Lotion - Soap&Glory - I bought a couple of mini soap&glory products but lately this has been the one that has been in my bag all the time and used the most. Really handy when I have dry hands, which is almost always at the moment.

Beats Solo HD by Dr Dre - I normally use my iphone earphones but since I have been commuting a lot this month I have used my beats. They are really comfy as they have a lot of padding and are noise cancelling which is amazing. It means I don't have to listen to babies crying, people on telephones and bickering. I'm sure all you commuters know what I mean.

Hope you all have had a lovely day

Homemade pizza with a little twist

Recently, I have been having cravings for pizza. Not the healthiest food I must admit, which is why I decided to make a home made pizza so that I was in control of exactly what my pizza was made of. With that said, not only were the toppings chosen by me, I also made the pizza base from scratch. It was surprisingly pretty simple.

Ingredients used:

2-3 Sweet potatoes
2 eggs
Tomato pure
Mozzarella
Tomatoes
Black olives
Salami
Herbs

All you have to do is boil the sweet potatoes and then mash them up in a bowl. Also add an egg whilst mashing the potatoes to make it stick better together. Get some baking paper and place it on a baking tray. You then spread out the sweet potato to however thick you want the crust to be. Pop it in the oven for about 25 minutes. After 25 minutes you take it out. It is now ready to put on all the toppings.   When you've finished putting all the toppings on, just pop it back into the oven for about 30 minutes. Et voila pizza is done. :)

I have also been loving beet, parsnip and potato crisps. It may sound really weird, but they are so yummy!

Birthday Haul

It wasn't long ago that I celebrated my 22nd birthday, 30th of May to be exact. I had a really lovely and chilled day. After my 21st birthday I didn't want to do anything so big and crazy. A lot of eating and playing Taylor Swift '22' on repeat was involved hehe. I also got really lovely presents from my friends, boyfriend and family which I am so grateful for. So I thought I'd share with you all the gifts I got.

(Disclaimer: I am in no way bragging. I just wanted to share with you all the things I received as I'm always curious and love knowing what other people get for their birthday.)

My little sister got me the hello kitty bag with my name on the side whilst she was in the Bahamas. She also got me the Eau de Lacoste perfume which smells amazing, very flowery and fresh.

Mr Nutcase II Customised Phone Case*

I was so happy when Mr Nutcase emailed me and asked me to review their custom phone cases, as I have been wanting to make a personalised phone case for a while. Mr Nutcase are situated in the UK but have free shipping Worldwide which is amazing! It took roughly a week to get to me in Sweden. I have now finally gotten one and I am so pleased with the way it turned out.

I was a bit torn on choosing what to put on the phone case. My options were going for a simple girly illustration, an inspirational quote, lyrics, or a personal collage. As you can see I opted for the latter.  All of the photos that I have chosen for my collage are to do with things I love, memories I cherish and a couple of quotes I live by.

There were so many different layouts to choose from, I felt very spoilt for choice. I also really like that the sides are see through.

Even though most of the photos are taken by my iphone, I was really surprised how good quality the photos turned out.

I really enjoyed creating my own personalised phone case. Mr Nutcase were really nice and helpful.   I will definitely be making another phone case in the future.

May Glossybox 2014 ll Summer Essentials

As usual, my glossybox ends up coming more towards the end of the month, so I don't really get enough time to test out all the products as much as I would like to before I review them. But two weeks should suffice, since the products I received this month were pretty basic.

Bangerhead Professional - Fresh Me Up! Dry Shampoo (Org. price 129kr/200ml)

I have to admit that I have only ever tried one dried shampoo in my life and that is the one and only Batiste dry shampoo. However, after giving this dry shampoo a go, it really has made me more open to trying other dry shampoos. Batiste and Bangerhead are pretty similar. It has a very nice fresh smell and makes my hair smell nice and florally. One thing I like in particular about this dry shampoo is that it doesn't leave that white residue in the hair.

Panos Emporio - Doespray 'Coco Sun' (Org. price 149kr/50ml)
As much as I like the smell of many of Panos Emporio's collection, I wasn't very pleased in getting the same golden can twice in a row. This however has a really nice florally scent with a hint of coconut. It can be somewhat overpowering at times though.

Garnier - The Miracle Cream (Org. price 140kr/50ml)

I bought this cream in the UK when it came out a couple of months ago and I absolutely love it. It is very moisturising and blends into the skin very nicely. What I really love about this product is that, when squeezing it out of the tube, it comes out white with little particles, but when you start blending it into the skin it turns into skin colour, sort of like a BB cream. I'm really glad I got a little sample one because now I can carry it around in my handbag.

Vichy - Idealia Eyes + Idealia Day cream (Org. price 279kr/15ml)

I'm not really sure what to say about these two products. One is supposed to take away dark rings around your eyes and the other one is supposed to make your skin look more alive and apparently they are best sellers here in Sweden. I've been trying them out for a couple of weeks and haven't seen any difference. Maybe it's more of a longterm effect so i'll continue using them and get back to you later if I think it's worth mentioning.

Humble Brush - Bamboo toothbrush  (Org. price 34kr/st)

I was actually really excited to try out this toothbrush. How very sad of me. It just looked so unique and cool. It's made out of bamboo and the bristles are purple. Now how cool is that!? It is a little pricey for a toothbrush that does just a good job as a normal plastic toothbrush. But, seeing as it is very environmentally friendly and also for every toothbrush you buy they give one to a person in need, I would be very happy to repurchase them.

Overall, this months glossybox was not too bad. A couple things I will definitely use and repurchase. Just a little bummed there wasn't any make up in this month's. But I have high hopes for next month's as it is being designed by Lovisa Burfitt, a swedish fashion illustrator.
